At 6pm we met for our traditional service of 9 Lessons and Carols. The Church was bathed in candle light and the Congregation and choir sang well known hymns and Carols as they listened to the story of the birth of Christ starting with the fall of Man in the garden of Eden and finishing with the opening of ST Joun's gospel which puts the story in context of being beyond time and space.
The Choir sang several solo carols including 'Up good Christians' 'Jesus Christ the Apple Tree' Gabriel's Message', 'Torches' 'Ding Dong Merrily on High'
We left Church feeling that Christmas was here!
