05 January 2015
A new year and our first Sunday was our Family Service. Today we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany, on which three events are remembered, the arrival of the Magi, the wedding at Caana in Galilee and the Baptism of Our Lord. Today we concentrated on the arrival of the Magi. We sang 'We Three Kings' a traditional Carol, whilst our own three kings processed to the front of the Church and proceeded to tell us something about the gifts they bought with them and the traditional significance of Gold, Myrrh and Frankincense. After communion the Choir sang 'The Nativity Carol' by John Rutter. The service was followed by coffee and soft drinks in the North Transept.
