21 July 2013
After all the excitement of the last few weeks, it was lovely to have a straightforward parish eucharist on this beautiful summer Sunday morning. This was refected in the first hymn, 'When Morning Guilds the Sky'.For his sermon, Father Stephen spoke about the collect for the day, which extols True Religion. Father Stephen spoke of hearing Bishop John preach on the same collect during his time at the Theoogical College in Chichester, which led him to reflect on the wonderful occasion of his 25th anniversary two weeks ago.
The Anthem was Faure's Ave Verum Corpus. This was sung by the ladies giving the gentlemen a rest for a week.
Dont forget 27th July the Fete!!!!
