07 January 2013
This Sunday, the Feast of Epiphany, was also our Family Service. The arrival of the Three Kings was marked by readings from two grandparents in the Congregation, accompanied by a representation of the presentation of the gifts of Gold, Myrrh and Frankincense by three members of the sunday school. 'We Three Kings of Orient Are' was the Offertory Hymn. During the communion the Choir sang 'Away in a Manger' melody by W.J. Kirkpatrick arranged by David Willcocks, and 'In the Bleak Midwinter' words by Christina Rossetti, music Harold Darke. Our thoughts and prayers go with all those returning to School, College, and Work this week.
