Today our 10 o'clock service was Sung Eucharist. The Bible readings were from The  Revelation of St John, and St Matthew's Gospel. In his sermon Father Stephen told us that the New rooms project is making progress, with hopes of some activity on the site by the end of the year! He asked us to pray for guidance and encouragement for  a member of our congregation to come forward for ministry,  as we shall have eventually to think about how we go forward when Father Stephen retires! The choir sang 'The Crown of  Thorns' words by A.N. Pleshcheev translated by G. Dearmer, music by P.I.Tchaikovsky. There was coffee after the service.

Next Saturday the 31st of January we are having our Silent Auction with cheese and wine in the Church Hall, there are some interesting items in the Auction, do come along, tickets £10. On Valentines night the 14 of February there will be a Casserole evening tickets also £10, available from the Church Wardens. Both events will be in aid of the New Rooms project. Do come along to either event or both!
