We have reached the 10th Sunday of Trinity already, the year is speeding by. The Gospel reading this morning told the story of Our Lord healing a lady on the Sabbath,and the reaction of the religious authorities to this breaking of the law of no work on the Sabbath.Father Srephen in his sermon talked about worship. We can honour God in many ways, our conventional service are one type of worship, but the act of healing, of doing good, of kindness, these are all also forms of worship and honour to God.
Once again the choir was not in session, so hymns were sung but no anthem, although many choir members were in the congregation as individuals.
There was coffee after the service.
Sunday the 8th of September will be our Patronal Festival.Harvest weekend is the 28th and 29th of September this year. The Harvest Supper will be on Saturday the 28th in the Church Hall, and the Harvest Festival service will be on the morning of Sunday 29th September.
